“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭8‬ ‭KJV‬

This passage of scripture is  a progressive plan for when we are overcome with life.

It starts with rejoicing vs 4

Find something to thanks God for today! Rejoice in who HE IS to YOU!

Then vs 5 tells us to show moderation in our lives. Watch out for excessive behavior or responses. This is temperance or to be Holy Spirit controlled.

Vs 6-

Be careful for nothing---Stop worrying! Worrying is us telling God He doesn't know what He’s doing and He needs our help. We are so foolish sometimes!

Then it goes on to say one of my favorite phrases...Everything by prayer! EVERYTHING!

Whatever it is we are doing in our lives should be bathed/baptized in prayer. Start and end the day with prayer!

It soothes and helps us hit the reset button!

Vs 7 gives us such a precious promise! We do those three things above and God will give us peace that passes understanding! I have experienced this kind of peace and it always leaves me speechless! Now that's saying something when I'm speechless!

Vs 8- I call it God’s firewall for the mind!

When your mind is filled with thoughts about your overwhelming circumstances vs 8 is a wonderful guide to help sort them out and refocus the mind on things above and not on this of this earth!

Turn your thoughts to prayer; your worry to worship and God will turn your battles into blessings!
